A Simple System That Works!
Each month our team of volunteer food donors collect food from the grocery store while they do their usual shopping using our re-usable food donor bags. Then, once a month, our volunteer Neighborhood Coordinators collect the food donor bags and drop off the donated food to your local food banks and food pantries. They also leave a new bag for next month. Its that simple.

Volunteer Food Donors can sign up to collect food each month while they do their normal shopping using our
re-usable food donor bags.
Once a month a volunteer will collect the food donor bag and transport to a local food bank or food pantry. We will also leave a new bag for the next month.

All funds donated to the Food Project stay local here in Newport in support of our volunteers who collect pounds of food each month for local food banks and food pantries in and around Newport. The Newport Food Project of Oregon has very low overhead.
We are a non-profit completely volunteer organization however, we do need funds for purchasing our re-usable bags, thank you and reminder cards, and other supplies for signing up and keeping track of new volunteer food donors.
